Getting Around:
De Waterkant is a sub –district of the suburb of Green Point, Cape Town. Adjacent and within walking distance to the Central Business District gives one easy access to the local coffee shops, restaurants and boutique stores. From the south, it is neighboured by the historically coloured district of Bo-Kaap.
A sought after address for young professionals and niche restaurants and retailers.
This is an ideal location for those not wanting to drive about, as the MyCity bus stops are all around and within walking distance.
The area is home to the Cape Quarter shopping mall. A mere 5min walk away, one will find Gold; a unique African restaurant which offers a Cape Malay and African taste safari experience. Not in the mood for traditional cuisine? Then simply cross the road to The Foundry and pop into Beluga for Sushi, Dim Sum or Seafood (P.S Beluga offers half price sushi, dim sum and cocktails Monday- Saturday, 12-7pm and all day on Sundays)…The gym at the apartment might come into good use.
A 7min Uber drive and you’ll be at the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront; or do what most tourists do and enjoy a light and easy 20min walk to the waterfront (as it is known by the locals). Be sure to enjoy a beer or two at Mitchell’s Scottish Ale House where six different beers and three Ales are brewed.
Local attractions such as Table Mountain and Camps bay Beach are easily accessible by the Red Tour bus; a Hop on and Hop off double decker red bus which allows you to discover Cape Town in a fun and easy way.
Start your next morning with an early morning stroll to Truth Coffee for some aromas of freshly ground coffee.
