If you do decide to leave this sanctuary, we are 2 minutes away from the Hout Bay beach front and village – where you will be able to purchase any provisions you may require as well as satisfy all your needs for good food and wine in the large variety of restaurants and delis. We are only 20 minutes of picturesque coastal drive away from Cape Town city centre and the V & A Waterfront.
En route to town you can stop at the vibey Camps Bay beach and entertainment strip or cool off in the waters of Clifton beach. The world-renowned Kirstenbosch botanical gardens are a 10 minute forest drive away as is the splendid Constantia wine route.
Transport is easily organised – car rentals are cheap and taxi shuttle services a phone call away.
World of Birds Wildlife Sanctuary & Monkey Park – visitors from all around the world are constantly amazed at this wonderful park where you can walk through bird and monkey enclosures at your leisure.
Horse Riding on a number of local trails or on the never ending white sandy beaches of Noordhoek.
Hout Bay Harbour is a full working harbour with several fresh seafood restaurants and taverns. There are also champagne cruises to nearby Seal Island and private charter boats to go on your own expeditions.

A scenic 45 minute journey along the dramatic Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point – where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet with awesome views.
Folk who like to be active can hire sea kayaks to paddle in the bay, or go on one of several mountain walks, runs or cycles.
