The outdoor terrace is the place to be seen,
whether you find your spot on a row of loungers near the pool or in the Jacuzzi. Sunsets are not to be missed - this is when the house comes into its own.
Its double-volume glass façade can be shuttered for cool and shade by day, but as the sun dips down below the horizon, the shutters can be drawn back electronically at the touch of a button,
so that the whole house reflects the sunset
glow and evening light.
Upstairs, two distinctive ‘pods’, each with a main suite and guest bedroom, are linked with a glass-lined walkway. Here, subtle lighting controls give the walkway a colourful glow – the choice of colour is yours, of course. Designed originally for two clients, the separate pods, with two bedrooms in each, lend themselves to two families sharing or couples who value their privacy.
The spacious main suites are both sea facing and overlook the pool terrace below. Each has an open-plan bathroom with generous freestanding baths and dressing room areas.
The bathrooms adjoining the guest suites intrigue most visitors: metallic car paint is used to excellent effect on the storage cupboards, giving a subtle and sophisticated glow to the interiors. Designer fixtures and fittings complete the look.
Downstairs, the kitchen is a fitted masterpiece,
with pale, sea-blue glass lining the under-lit counter, adding glamour at every turn. It’s the perfect gathering place whether you’re eating breakfast
or sipping elegant cocktails, as floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to an elevated deck with gorgeous views, extending the full length of the pool with outdoor sofas and a dining table for relaxed
alfresco living.

In the middle of the house (under the suspended walkway) is a glass lined, double-volume dining area, making the most of the stunning views over the pool towards the sea on one side and a wooden walkway over a koi pond on the other (the entry area). Steps lead up to a contemporary living area with a striking gas fireplace separating the two spaces. The living room has a large plasma screen and also leads through glass doors onto another outdoor living room with the chaise longues on the pool deck beyond. A well-equipped and spacious home theatre for viewings is behind the living room.
A staircase leads down from the kitchen to a lower level, where an additional double bedroom leads off the gym, which is ideal for accommodating staff such as chauffeurs or au-pairs. Glass doors lead out to the garden from one side of the gym and a glass window positioned in the side wall of the pool
gives it an aquarium-like feel.
