Set en route to Simon’s Town, just 25 minutes outside of Cape Town, Fish Hoek lies on the False Bay side of the peninsula. Its long, white sandy beach is popular with families and early morning swims are mandatory. Southern Right Whales can be spotted right in the bay during the whale season, from June to November, and it isn’t unusual to spot Bryde’s Whales, Humpback Whales or even Killer Whales - although these are less common.
For golf enthusiasts, Clovelly golf club is nearby and the house is
close to many local attractions:
Boulders beach where you can visit the resident penguins
Noordhoek beach where locals ride their horses
Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its wonderful beaches
Constantia Wine Route is just over Ou Kaapse Weg
Silvermine Nature Reserve has some wonderful walks and a dam around which you can picnic and barbeque
Quaint Kalk Bay with its 2nd hand book stores, antique shops and restaurants
