The villa is spacious, light & airy. It sleeps 8. This is a newly built 4 bedroom, double storey home. The open plan dinning room has glass doors looking onto a tall fountain in the adjacent courtyard from which you can here the water trickling. Relax in the lounge and enjoy the indigenous garden and see the bay and sea beyond or lie on the wooden deck by the large pool with its water features and soak in the late sun.

Sleep well in the master bedroom with its king size bed & folding doors opening out onto sea views; the en-suite with bath & shower enjoys a large balcony overlooking the gardens & mountains. Upstairs there are 2 further large bedrooms, one queen & one with twin beds sharing a bathroom with shower and bath. Downstairs is the fourth bedroom with a shower room, basin & toilet.

The estate is small, tranquil and safe, surrounded by mountains in a leafy enclave. You can walk along the pebbled paths and watch the guinea fowl or plan your mountain hikes. It is on the northern side of Hout Bay so you get the late evening sun and beautiful sunsets. You drive up from the village along a country path, past the historic Hout Bay Manor Hotel to the estate. It is a 5-minute drive to the beach and the village.

You can walk to the beach and shops, although it is uphill on the way back. At night the view is magical and you can hear the sea.

Hout Bay takes its name from the many woods and forests that surround this old fishing village. It has developed into a modern trendy town with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. There is a sandy beach and on its western tip there is a harbor where you can buy fresh fish, have a drink and watch the yachts & fishing boats or take a trip on the glass bottomed boat to visit the seals. The World of Birds is well worth a visit, on a wet afternoon you can decorate your own pots at the Clay Café and view the local crafts at the craft market on a Sunday afternoon. There are riding schools, jetskiing and canoeing facilities so you are sure to have a good time. Hout Bay is 25minutes from Cape Town and about 35 minutes from Cape Town International airport.

A maid visits twice a week ensuring the house is regularly serviced. The pool & garden are maintained once a week by the friendly gardener.
