It’s a bustling spot complete with yacht club, town wharf, restaurants and picturesque Jubilee Square. Rent a kayak from there for trips around Simon’s Bay or to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. The prettiest and most evocative of the waterfronts is at Kalk Bay where the daily catch is still offloaded amid a throng of onlookers. Kalk Bay Main Road has a row of quaint bric-a-brac shops while the waterfront boasts a number of fine restaurants and bars. The hamlets of Scarborough and Smitswinkel Bay also have lovely beaches. |
