    
    
The name 'Blackwaters' comes from the tannins that make for the distinctively dark waters of the Goukamma River, from whose bank this rambling guesthouse, the only one on the Garden Route with it's own 9-hole mashie golf course, emerges.
Blackwaters is set on 4 hectares of riverine vegetation - you can jump into a canoe from here and make your way deep into this gorgeous valley, home of wild pigs, bushbuck and Cape clawless otter plus a superabundance of birdlife, peace and tranquility. |

This unique Country Guest House has been lovingly decorated with subtle African touches and offers both Bed & Breakfast and
Self Catering options:
A romantic Honeymoon suite, has a lounge area with a cosy fireplace and bathroom with generous-sized bath tub.
A De luxe suite with twin beds a fireplace, and a spacious bathroom. Both these suites are upstairs in the main guesthouse are air-conditioned, and have beautiful views from their balconies of the river and forest.
Family suites provide a warm welcome for parents and children. Two of these suites are self-catering.
Garden rooms have twin beds, and overlook the golf course, two of them also have light self-catering facilities. These rooms have bath & shower
en-suite.
The budget rooms offer twin beds, and have shower en-suite.
All rooms are equipped with satellite television, tea/coffee facilities, over-head ceiling fans for the warm evenings, and heaters and electric blankets to ward off the winter chill.
Guests are welcome to relax in the communal lounge which has a fireplace, well stocked honesty bar, comfortable sofas and a large plasma screen television with full satellite service, as well as a wide selection of books and magazines. The perfect place to unwind after a long day on the beach
or sightseeing!
A full English and Continental buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room, an inviting, sunny spot with views of the river and pool or, weather permitting, soak up the sun on the deck while enjoying your first meal
of the day.
Home style dinners are available on request delivered to your room, or you can choose to barbeque on your verandah and order a picnic hamper containing everything you will need for a perfect evening outdoors. We also offer 3-course dinners served al fresco on the deck, where Colin prepares fish cooked over the coals, a traditional South African braai or traditional dinner with mouth-watering desserts to tempt you!
For light snacks during the day there is a 19th hole rustic pub and coffee shop adjacent to the golf course.
This 3 star property, also rated “Superior” by the AA, offers river canoeing, bird watching, Golfing and swimming on site. Hiking trails, mountain biking & horse riding are nearby, and the beautiful Buffalo Bay beach is a
mere 8km away.
