A collection of ten historic properties, nestled between the restaurants, museums, sights and shops of Church Street. Tulbagh Country Guest House, Cape Dutch Quarters is the jewel in the crown of our heritage collection, where guests experience the authenticity of 18th century colonial architecture, original features and period/antique furnishings, while enjoying our traditional Cape hospitality. In addition, our seven self catering properties accommodate between two and twelve people each, so that groups of up to 60 can be accommodated. Enjoy our famous breakfast, lovely gardens, local reserve and other facilities. Tulbagh has a rich cultural history, unique wine farms, and wide open spaces and is well located for Route 62, West Coast and Cederburg.
The Manor House offers 3 king-sized luxury en-suite rooms, as well as a Family Suite that sleeps 4 in 2 rooms, with an en-suite bathroom. Also available is a single suite with en-suite shower and toilet. All our mattresses are of the highest quality and our linen is 100% cotton percale. Most rooms have private doors onto the garden and pool and guests are encouraged to make free use of all facilities including the covered terrace braai/BBQ area. The Wagon Shed is our luxury self-catering unit that sleeps 2 in a Queen-sized four poster bed with an open plan bed/living room, kitchenette and en suite bath/shower room. B&B is optional, priced from R500 per night. The Wagon Shed enjoys a private veranda/garden and off street parking, and guests have full use of the Quarter’s pool and facilities.
The Tulbagh Travellers Lodge is our new budget accommodation that consists of double and triple bedrooms, all with private en-suite bath/shower room. Guests share a large open-plan lounge and kitchen area, and benefit from full use of the Quarter’s pool, large roof terrace and garden.
Our tranquil country retreat is ideally situated for exploring the beauty of the valley and its majestic mountains, as well as grand wine estates, museums, heritage architecture and street culture. Most restaurants, shops, galleries and other places of interest are only a short walk away. |
