Cliff Lodge is a stylish seafront guest house, superbly positioned on the dramatic cliffs of De Kelders, near Gansbaai, and just 30km from Hermanus. The four luxurious bedrooms have ocean views, satellite television and sea facing patios. Rooms range from standard sea view, to spacious sea front, and a luxurious suite. The spacious penthouse suite has unbeatable sea views, with a huge balcony and glass-fronted living room for whale watching in true style - perfect for honeymooners or an executive getaway. Our guests have the use of a comfortable guest lounge, all weather sea-front conservatory and a spacious balcony overlooking the sea. There is an ocean front plunge pool, and various massage therapies are available. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax! Cliff Lodge has been awarded the AA Accommodation Award for the best small guest house for two years in a row and has a four star grading. The wild, beautiful ocean of this area offers a unique eco-experience – this is truly the Kruger National Park of marine tourist attractions in South Africa! Experience an ocean safari like no other, with Great White Sharks, a variety of whales, Cape fur Seals, dolphins, and extensive bird and fish populations. The magnificent, unspoilt coastline of De Kelders, just outside Gansbaai is one of the best vantage points in the world for land-based whale watching. The Gansbaai area is also famous for Great White Shark viewing and has magnificent fynbos (wildflowers) and perfect white beaches. From Cliff Lodge, enjoy a walk to the secluded beach, swim in the ocean or splash pool or relax with a cappuccino while whale watching from the deck. RATES 2010 – 2011 Ocean Suite – Sea front penthouse suite: A large luxury suite with spacious bedroom, separate lounge and a large private balcony, all with stunning sea views. The romantic bed is king size, and the en-suite Travertine tiled bathroom has a separate shower and two-person bath. This suite has unbeatable panoramic views of the ocean and Walker Bay, making it the ideal whale watching spot. The privacy and luxury makes the Ocean Suite the perfect honeymoon suite or executive getaway!
North Room: This is our sea-front room - a stone's throw from the ocean with an incredible sea view! It is a spacious room with a sitting area and a door leading on to the sea front balcony. (Twin beds or king size bed)
South Room: This light and airy room is located on the side of the guesthouse, and opens up to an outside sitting area that overlooks the ocean. En-suite bathroom with shower. (Queen size bed)
East Room: The stylish east room has twin beds / king size. It opens on to a wooden deck that overlooks an aloe garden, the sea shore, as well as Walker Bay Nature Reserve. En-suite bathroom with shower over bath.
West Room: This room is outside of the guest house, downstairs at the pool area. It has a wonderful sea view, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and an en-suite shower – no bath. The patio has a good sea view and comfortable arm chairs. (Twin beds or king size)
