Situated between Fish Hoek and Simon’s Town on the False Bay side of the peninsula, Sunny Cove is just 30 minutes outside of Cape Town. Overlooking Fish Hoek beach with its magnificent blue ocean and sandy white beach, Sunny Cove is protected by the wind and offers safe swimming at the beach or in tidal rock pools. The beach is a favourite with wind surfers, lifesavers and hobie cat sailers, and visitors will mingle with the locals who swim and walk their dogs on the beach. Jaggers Walk is a gentle undulating path which takes you along the rocky coastline to Fish Hoek beach, where sign boards explain the life history of the dolphins that play in these waters throughout the year and of the Southern Right and Humpback whales that come during late winter and early spring to calve.
Inland, enjoy mountain hikes on an extensive array of trails that range from easy walks to challenging climbs. Play golf on courses with sweeping ocean and mountain views. Take an easy stroll into Fish Hoek village, a busy seaside town with unique shops, a host of restaurants, and metro rail service for convenient day trips to attractions in Cape Town.
