Farm 215 is a private and secluded 4-star retreat in the heart of the Southern Overberg, a 2,5 hour drive from Cape Town. Surrounded by original nature, vineyards, the lake of Kraaiboschdam and indigenous flower-plantations, the 800 hectares of the reserve are a haven of tranquility offering an overpowering sense of space. The reserve, is accessed from the "Fynbos road", the natural- and rural- meander between the Victorian village of Stanford and Africa's Southern-most point, Cape Agulhas. The last 12 km to the reserve is a good gravel-road, suitable for all normal cars.

Farm 215 is a reserve, maintaining and protecting the indigenous natural features of the land. Farm 215 is a pioneer in sustainable tourism: all new buildings are electrified by solar-energy and heat-exchange. The pool is heated by solar and cleaned without harmful chemicals. All waste is separated and recycled. Detergents are biodegradable. Water is sourced from a stream on the farm and recycled after use. Farm 215 places small-scale tourism in tune with nature and invites people to come and enjoy the unspoilt and special natural surroundings of the "Cape Floral Kingdom".


Luxury accommodation is offered in two spacious rooms on the first floor of the old homestead and in three fynbos-suites, spaced out along a meandering footpath to ensure privacy and undisturbed views. These large suites have 3 inter-connected spaces : lounge with open fireplace, bedroom with king-size bed and a bath-area with bath and separate shower. A covered deck stretches out along the whole length of the suite. Under-floor heating and fans. Sweeping views over the Agulhas Plains towards the ocean and mountains from all rooms and suites.


All meals of the day, made from fresh hand-picked local ingredients and with an eye to detail, are served in the spacious dining- and bar- area, connected with a wooden board-walk to the heated 25m lap-pool with sun-deck. The old homestead, surrounded by indigenous gardens and terraces, has 2 lounges on the ground-floor with huge open fire-places and opens to a covered courtyard at the back.
