Recommended daytrips are hiking at the Matroosberg Nature Reserve or Sliverfontein Hiking Trails, In November/December/Jan you can pick your own cherries or figs. If you like adrenalin rushes then try Ceres zip slide rides .We are not far away from the Swarland Wine route and a visit to the quaint Riebeeck Kasteel is a must.

From Cape Town, take N1 towards Paarl. Take Klapmuts / Wellington turnoff (R44) turning left. Just before Wellington, turn left again (Hermon/Ceres) following R44. Continue on this road through the Nuwekloof Pass where it becomes the R46. We are off the R46 heading towards Ceres, and between Tulbagh and Wolseley. Turn at the sign „Weltevrede“. Follow the gravel road for approx. 3 km, then turn right at the sign " Fraaigelegen Farm."
