Surrounding the farm are several golf courses, a variety of wine farms, restaurants and of course the big blue sea. Other activities available nearby are horse riding, kloofing, quad biking, hiking, water sports and fishing charters.
Coots Cottage is an open plan chalet overlooking the main dam. This self-catering cottage accommodates two adults with room for two children in the loft. A small private dam next to the chalet is suitable for a swim or a lovely sundowner. No Electricity but lit by gas and paraffin lamps. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and fridge. The inside/outside fireplace can also provide for all your meal time needs.
Fish Eagle Lodge is situated on the top slope of the farm with spectacular views over the Elgin Valley. There are two separate bedrooms, both en-suite sleeping four adults. Children are welcome as we have mattresses available. This cottage offers electricity with a fully equipped kitchen, inside/outside fireplace and a cozy
lounge overlooking your own private dam.
Fishing - The main dams below the cottages are stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout. They also hold trophy Largemouth Bass. You can walk from the chalets down to the dams to fish or just enjoy a row on the water. Birding – We have a rich array of bird life in the district and on Galileo Farm. Our resident Fish Eagles are a real treasure as are the vast array of raptors that hunt the area. Mountain Biking - We are fortunate to have some world class mountain biking on our doorstep. Everything from family rides around the farm to challenging single-track and downhill.
