Nestled between Cape Town’s City Bowl and Lion’s head is the characterful suburb of Tamboerskloof. 7 Gilmour Hill Bed & Breakfast is one of the beautifully appointed Victorian homes in the area. We offer warm friendly hospitality and serve sumptuous healthy breakfasts on our beautiful terrace. We are always happy to help you arrange trips and tours around our beautiful city.
Our wonderfully situated guesthouse offers our guests easy access to all of Cape Town’s major attractions like the V&A Waterfront and the International Convention Centre. Just a stones throw away is our famous landmark Table Mountain and the Cableway. Lion’s Head is the perfect lookout point to get 360° views of our spectacular Mother City.
If you prefer to take advantage of our blue skies and pristine white beaches, the famous Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are only a 10 minute drive over Kloof Nek.
It’s no wonder that Tamboerskloof has been named the “10 -minute suburb”, we are a mere 10 minutes away from anywhere.
For those historical lovers, Cape Town has a wonderful array of museums, art galleries and not to mention the famous Robben Island. After witnessing a beautiful sunset, enjoy a good meal or a night on the town in one of the restaurants on Kloof or Long streets, both within a 5 minute radius. |

When you walk in the front door you are enveloped by the eclectic look and feel of this home. From all her travels in Africa, Nepal and India; the owner Maureen has made 7 Gilmour Hill into a fusion of culture and colour. There are four en-suite bedrooms, each with their own individual feel and style.
The Blue room is our luxury upstairs suite, and the real treat is an unobstructed view of Table Mountain from the big tub. There is a double bed with TV and satellite, en-suite bath and shower with air conditioning and wireless internet.
The Red room is also a luxury room with an array of rich colours, a pure space to relax and unwind. There is a king size extra length bed (or 2 singles) with TV and satellite. This room is en-suite with a shower and has a beautiful Victorian fire place for the wetter months in Cape Town.
India is my passion, so the Indian room is filled with memories I have collected on my travels. There are 2 single beds with an en-suite shower.
The final room is the African room; sunsets and the African bushveld is my soul place. This room has 2 single beds with an en suite shower and bath.
All rooms are fully serviced, have wireless internet, and are non-smoking.
