This elegantly appointed free standing home is sheltered from the SE wind, boasts magnificent sea views and has sunbirds feeding on the Patio. Situated in a quiet close, a short flight of steps leads to the attractive Victorian village.
The luxury accommodation is stylishly and comfortably furnished with family antiques and original paintings. It offers open plan living, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large covered Patio, all with stunning views.
Goede Hoop is situated in an attractive mews type courtyard off a quiet close and is sheltered from the summer winds. It has amazing views across False Bay to the Hottentots Holland Mountains as well as up the Waterfall Kloof.
Our position immediately above Jubilee Square gives us a bird’s eye view of the yacht basin and naval activity as the frigates and tugs chug busily about. It is also ideal for whale watching in season and at sunset the lovely evening colours reflect on the clouds. A short flight of steps leads to the Victorian village with its Waterfront, shops, restaurants, museums and boat rides. A few minutes walk will take you to the train for a scenic ride to Kalk Bay or Muizenberg.
We are conveniently close to Cape Point Nature Reserve, the famous Penguin colony, numerous sheltered beaches (where you can swim with the penguins), several excellent Golf courses, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, quirky Kalk Bay, riding, fishing, diving, hiking and lots more.
It’s an easy base from which to explore all the Western Cape has to offer. A forty minute drive will take you to Cape Town for a cable car ride up Table Mountain, a boat trip to Robben Island or a visit to the Waterfront. A forty minute drive in the other direction takes you to the Winelands.

Goede Hoop can accommodate up to six guests in three double bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
The Main bedroom has a king size double bed with en-suite bathroom, walk in dressing room and views up
Waterfall Kloof.
The guest bedroom has twin three quarter beds, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, its own private garden and view of Admiral’s Beach.
The third bedroom has a queen size double bed, a bathroom with shower across the passage and
Waterfall views.
The tasteful and comfortable open plan living/dining area has a well appointed kitchen across a serving counter. This, plus our maid Nomsa, make for easy housekeeping. We are sure you will find Nomsa adds to the enjoyment of your holiday. She is delightful, reliable, trustworthy, unobtrusive and irons beautifully. She comes Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm and does not cook, but does the washing, ironing, washing up, cleaning, and
makes the beds.
The house is elegantly and luxuriously furnished throughout with family antiques, original paintings, fine linen and outstanding views from all the windows.
The covered Patio is sheltered from the wind, has breathtaking views across False Bay and sunbirds drinking at the window. It is perfect for outdoor living with comfortable cane lounge chairs and dining table and is a wonderful place to relax with a sundowner to enjoy the evening lights as they surround the Bay.
Simon’s Town is known for its safety and the house is fitted with Chubb’s response alarm system. There is off street under cover parking.
