It is close to the centre of the town, which has a number of good restaurants, pubs, shops, museums, a small waterfront and a number of attractive beaches. |

| Simon's Town is world-renowned for the large colony of Jackass Penguins at Boulders beach. It is a prime location for whale watching during the whale season (September to November). Boulders, Seaforth and Long Beach are some splendid beaches in the vicinity. The Simon's Town country club offers outdoor activities in the form of golf and squash. Sea kayaking is popular outdoor activity in the bay (kayaks can be rented at the waterfront). Simon's Town is also close to the city of Cape Town (about 45 minutes by car), which is world famous for its many natural (e.g. Table Mountain) and tourist attractions (e.g. Victoria and Alfred Waterfront). The Cape Point nature reserve is another highlight that is close to Simon's Town (only 15 minutes by car). |
| The open plan lounge / dining room provides comfortable seating and opens onto a deck with awesome views of the ocean (a television, DVD and hi-fi stereo system is provided). The well-equipped kitchen contains all the standard equipment expected from a guest house (electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge and granite tops). The dining-room table is located in the open plan lounge / dining room. A heated Jacuzzi is provided on the lower deck. This is the place to 'cool-down' after a hot summer's day, and gives one an opportunity to 'wind-down' and enjoy the splendid views while indulging in a bath of warm bubbles. |
