The local wine estates produce some of South Africa’s finest wines and Franschhoek has several of the best restaurants in South Africa, earning itself the title of “gourmet capital of the Cape”. Outdoor activities include walking, horse riding, mountain biking and fly fishing for trout in the local rivers and dams. Franschhoek is within easy access of Cape Town (Airport 45 mins) and lovely beaches along the coast. |
