Accommodation Cape Town - Bed and Breakfast accomodation at Liberty Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Tamboerskloof

Over the years, this classic bed & breakfast has earned an enviable reputation for relaxed and genuine hospitality. Originally a Victorian gentleman's house, it was turned into a fabric emporium and even a bordello in the 1940's! The skilful mix of Victorian, Art Deco and contemporary styles creates stylish yet homely accommodation. The Lodge is perfectly situated for both the holiday and business traveller.

Only 20 minutes from the Airport, Liberty Lodge is situated in a safe, up-market residential area yet under 15 minutes walk from the City centre and business district. Table Mountain is 2 km. away, and the V&A Waterfront and the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton can be reached in under 10 minutes by car. Trendy Kloof Street, with its wide variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and designer shops is less than 3 minutes' stroll away. Both the Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and the Cape of Good Hope are
within easy driving distance.

The Lodge will appeal to all ages and is extremely popular as a honeymoon choice. The first floor terrace (perfect for sundowners) offers spectacular views of the city and bay as well as the surrounding mountains.

Individually designed with both style and comfort in mind, each bedroom is equipped with an electronic wall safe, telephone, TV (MNet), alarm clock, hair dryer, air conditioning and heater. Beds are dressed with pure cotton percale linen and each room is en-suite with shower (one is equipped with a shower over the bath). Wifi access is available throughout the Lodge, at no extra charge.

Breakfast is served either in the peaceful courtyard or in the charming dining room by Lisa and Nita, who have been working at the Lodge for many years now. Juice, fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurts are followed by a hot breakfast with eggs cooked to perfection (their scrambled eggs and omelettes are amazing).

Airport transfers, car rental, private tours and restaurant bookings can be arranged by Ruth Parsons, the owner, who is always on hand to offer help and advice.
