Scarborough Nature Retreat – follow your soul

This charming two-storey house is situated in the picturesque village of Scarborough, in the Cape of Good Hope. The house, which can accommodate up to seven guests, has two open plan fully equipped kitchens with breakfast bars, two cosy living rooms with a total of three fireplaces, a dining table for eight people and a wooden deck with furniture, Weber braai, an outdoor fireplace and excellent views. The house also offers guests washing facilities and two parking spaces.

Live with nature, swim in your own ecological pool. Our retreat offers an exceptional view over the bay of Scarborough and at the same time into the Red Hill Nature Reserve. On different levels with over 250 square metres of space you can relax with your family and friends, swim in the natural eco pool and watch the stars in the sky together around the campfire.
The house is supplied with over 90% sustainable energy. Hot water is produced by solar thermal energy and electricity by photovoltaic with its own energy storage. The house is fully alarm-secured.

Up to four guests can fully unfold on the first floor of the house and use the Ecopool on the ground floor. For 6, maximum 7 guests the whole house with the separate flat on the ground floor is available.

Although Scarborough has only appr. 400 houses, the neighbourhood is very colourful and diverse. Artists, musicians, self-employed people and families enjoy the special atmosphere of this unique place.

Scarborough has several restaurants and cafés and offers a wide range of culinary delights in the main season. There are also locally grown products for sale and fresh baked goods. There are also shopping centres in Simenstown (7km), SunValley (14km) and Tokai (27km).
Medical care and hospitals are also in the immediate vicinity. From Simonstown you can also take the train directly to Cape Town, it takes about one hour.

Two-storey house designed by an architect with a 180-degree view of the ocean in front of the house and a nature reserve just outside the back door. Drink Chardonnay on the veranda while watching surfers and migrating whales, hike through fynbos-covered hills, stroll along deserted white sandy beaches, grill freshly caught seafood, visit award-winning wineries and restaurants or do it all again today and tomorrow.
