The restaurant provides inside and outside seating (with inspiring views of Kasteelberg). The Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day except Mondays and Thursdays. Riebeek Valley is dominated by Kasteelberg mountain which sits as a lonely sentinel among rolling wheat fields and vineyards. The Valley is made up of three towns namely Riebeek Kasteel, Riebeek West and Hermon. The Valley has a climate similar to the northern coast of the Mediterranean and has reminded many visitors of southern France.
The valley is best known for its good climate, friendly people, excellent wines and good quality olive products. Some of the oldest wine farms in the country are located on the slopes of Kasteelberg. Because of the hot climate and relative low rainfall the yield of vineyards are low and of high quality. The Valley is particularly well known for top class Shiraz, Chardonnay and Port. Wines can be bought directly from well known estates and cellars like Kloovenburg, Allesverloren, Meerhof, Riebeek Cellars and Pulpit Rock.
Apart from wine and olive tasting, cycling, hiking, horse riding and fly fishing are some of the outdoor
activities to enjoy.
