Fifteen minutes drive from central Cape Town and the Waterfront, yet on a Nature Reserve, Accommodation On The Reserve offers two worlds: easy access to the CBD and local tourist attractions plus a peaceful place to relax and unwind. You can walk straight onto the Reserve and see flocks of flamingoes and pelicans in winter. You can play golf, ski, wind or kite-surf (for which the area is internationally known) in summer - or you can simply wander up the beach to sample the local restaurants in nearby Blouberg. You can choose from Italian, Chinese, Cuban, Thai, Seafood and local South African cuisine: the quaintest restaurant in Blouberg is Ons Huisie, an old Fisherman´s Cottage right on the beach: great atmosphere, great food (10 mins). There are even coffee shops and restaurants - as well as banks and other shops - in the nearby Paddocks Centre (2 mins).
Accommodation On The Reserve is also close to the Durbanville Wine Route, including magnificent De Grendel (10 mins) & Durbanville Hills (15 mins), home to some of the best SA Sauvignon Blanc (choose from five!) & stunning Atlantic views. Further north & south lie other pleasures (see Images). Or you can just stay home & barbecue, watching the sun set over Table Mountain...
