Some say the moment you drive into Greyton, time stands still and when you enter The Posthouse you leave the stress of the city behind you...

The Posthouse Country Pub has a cozy nook with a large wood burning fire that crackles away in winter and often locals and guests can be found savoring the delicious meals, reading the paper or enjoying a game of
back gammon.

Each room is serviced on a daily basis.

The bedrooms have their own unique style / character and although newly refurbished have kept the "Country Feel" throughout. There are no televisions in the bedrooms but there is a television in the pub for sports viewing.

When you are ready to venture out of The Posthouse, you will find plenty to keep you busy in Greyton.

The beautiful encircling mountains offer hiking trails, waterfalls and populations of wild flowers. There are marked walking trails and these range from one hour "strolls" to two day calorie burning stuff.

Greyton boasts a variety of art galleries, eateries and wonderful shops that have captured the spirit of Greyton and offer something for the more discerning shopper to a "thoughtful" gift for someone special.

The people of Greyton are interesting, energetic and friendly and will go a long way to ensuring that you have a delightful stay.

The Greyton Winter Festival is held on the long weekend in June just before the winter solstice. It hosts art exhibitions with candle lit evening walks around the town during which the galleries offer warm Gluwein. The Genadendal Brass Band and other musicians play at various venues. Horse carts are available to take people on tours of the village.
