Under romantic thatch this charming, four bedroomed home, with separate cottage, is right where the action is on famous "Long Beach" in Kommetjie.

Where the sapphire blue waves are breaking on the shore, Rod's Place is beautifully placed to enjoy stunning crimson sunsets.

You can wander onto the beach with a glass of wine in your hand to share the drama with seagulls, cormorants, seals, and if you are lucky, otters too.
In season the whales play their part in the
Kommetjie pageant.

There are mountain trails starting from the village, and you may even encounter baboons, porcupines or a mongoose along the way.

If you want action there is surfing, kite surfing, body surfing, fishing, sailing, water skiing, diving, canoeing or even crayfishing in season.

Forty minutes from the city of Cape Town, with its famous Table Mountain, Kommetjie is a cosy, charming century old fishing village which has some of the most magnificent beaches to be seen anywhere in the world. It is 20 minutes from Cape Point Nature Reserve and the False Bay coastline which is home to the Jackass Penguin.

Very close by there is Imhoff's Farm which offers lots of entertainment for both young and old alike. Activities ranging from horse riding to visiting the snake park or animal touch farm. Or if you just want to relax, have a lovely lunch while enjoying the magnificent views across to Hout Bay.

If you wish, you can chill out, sit by the pool in Rod's Place and have yourself a barbecue. Fish or meat, whatever is your preference.

You can buy fresh fish, oysters and mussels at our local shops.

For big shopping sprees we have a sophisticated Mall 10 minutes away which has restaurants, a cinema. supermarkets, clothing, decor, coffee shops, jewellery and departmental stores, everything you might need just around the corner.

As well as the Mall, there are cafes, little supply stores, intimate restaurants and pubs right in the heart of the village itself.
