The Farmhouse is tucked away beneath the majestic Riviersonderend Mountains in the quaint village of Greyton. Situated on the edge of a nature reserve, the homestead is a cosy home away from home, offering you peace and tranquillity.
A brief stroll from the village centre with its restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and shops, The Farmhouse is conveniently located yet entirely private. Originally a mud brick farmhouse, the building is simple yet elegant, offering a relaxed weekend in the country. The lush garden is a real treat, with shady spots ideal for lazy afternoon naps and picturesque lily-clad ponds that attract an assortment of birdlife.
The fully equipped kitchen caters for 12 people, either indoors at the large solid wood dining table, or al fresco under the shade of the Old Cape lemon trees! Modern comforts available are the large fridge freezer, a gas/electric cooker, microwave and the all important dishwasher! There is plenty of cupboard space in this clean, newly built kitchen. Basic cleaning equipment and dishwasher blocks are supplied.
Of course your weekend would be incomplete without a braai (BBQ) - we will provide you with all the necessary equipment and some wood to get you started.
Fresh herbs and the odd seasonal veg from the garden and perhaps a glass or two of the local wine should enhance your country experience!
For those that need a complete break from the kitchen Greyton has many restaurants to choose from, or home-cooked meals delivered to your door are also an option!
The beautiful country village of Greyton is known for its lush gardens, rambling roses and enormous oak trees, and is a perfect getaway for nature lovers.
