The Retreat is a haven of tranquility, comfort and style. This small Cape Cod, intimate guest house is only 3 1/2 minutes walk from the magnificent Silver Sands beach which is a soft white sweep set against the majestic Blesberg Mountain.

Wake up to birdsong and watch their early morning bath rituals in our natural fynbos setting, laze in bed with that good book you’ve been meaning to read for months or watch the moon rise from out of Leopards Kloof gorge whilst relaxing in the outdoor hot tub. Swim in the soothing Palmiet River or take a stroll down the African Penguin Board walk at Stony Point.

Delight in our scrumptious full English breakfast or decide on a health option. Fresh seasonal juices and detoxification programmes are available. Walk it off in our very own Koegelberg Nature Reserve (part of the proclaimed International Biosphere) or stroll to one of two waterfalls in the famous Harold Porter botanical gardens.

The Retreat is an ideal setting for Honeymooners. However, whether travelling on your own or with a loved one, the experience is one of total relaxation and rejuvenation. Our friendly, warm service, the comfort and attention to detail are designed to offer all of the above.

Sacred Ibis

A luxurious and romantic honeymoon suite decorated in white percale with splashes of fuschia,
accented by antique furniture.
There is a flat screen TV with DSTV.

The extra large en-suite bathroom is done in dark wood and sandstone finishes with both
bath and shower.

Blue Crane

The second luxury honeymoon nest, decorated in white percale with blue and grey accents, has a French country studio feel with en-suite shower. Flat screen TV with SABC 1,2,3 & 4. It also has a separate garden entrance and braai facilities.

Waterberry

A superior double room decorated in a modern botanical theme with en-suite Cape Cod style shower room. Own entrance off the verandah and has shared DSTV.

Single rate available. Breakfast included in the above rates. Rates are subject to change. Discounts for stays longer than 3 nights and more. NO children under 10 unless previously arranged. A 50 percent deposit is required on booking. Minimum stay 3 days over long weekends. Cancellation fees are calculated on the total booking at the rate of : 50 percent up to 7 days before arrival and 100 percent for any cancellation there after.
Methods of payment : Internet Transfer, Bank Guaranteed, Credit Card facilities, Cheque or Cash. English Language (TEFL accredited) taught to foreigners for 3- 5 hours per day at R120 per hour and special rate for couples. Assistance with guided tourism if required. TRANSPORT TO THE 2010 STADIUM CAN BE ARRANGED
