Apart from the chiming of the village clock, one generally hears only birds and farm animals during the day and crickets and tree frogs at night.

A Donkey Sanctuary is situated just before the village which offers delicious food, a lovely shop and, of course some old donkeys to look at or adopt. There is also the McGregor Winery with its famous Columbard and very reasonable Ruby Port.
The former calving shed has been recently renovated into a comfortable modern one bedroom cottage with magnificent views across the fields and surrounding hills.

Although we intentionally do not offer the standard technology that is so prevalent today, we do guarantee hundreds of birds at the crack of dawn, including the resident flock of guinea fowl, the silent night with star-filled skies, the occasional call of a pair of neighboring resident fish eagles, the splash of the pool fountain…if you want to get away from it all, this is your perfect destination.

This stand alone cottage offers the

bullet Bedroom with an en-suite shower, toilet and floating vanity basin.
bullet All linen and towels are provided. The bedroom has a cupboard, electric blankets and wall panel heater.
bullet Living room with open wood-burning corner fireplace and double doors leading out onto a private garden area with braai facilities and an ice cold summer plunge pool.
bullet A fully equipped kitchen (double hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, kettle and toaster)
bullet Unique, custom made large picture windows facing a field of grass and olive trees
bullet Secure fence surrounding the entire property with off street parking behind a gate.
