Camps Bay Retreat is located in the Glen area of Camps Bay, Cape Town. The estate borders Chilworth Road on the mountain side, Victoria Road on the ocean side, as well as the Table Mountain National Park. Camps Bay Retreat is within walking distance of Glen Beach, Camps Bay Beach and Clifton Beaches.
You have a choice of accommodation options from the elegant Earls Dyke Manor, the contemporary Deck House or The Villa. Elegant, yet opulent and superbly comfortable. The Manor is a place to sink into and savour, or opt for the natural beauty that surrounds Deck House and The Villa, where trees and mountains give you a perfect excuse to indulge yourself for longer.
Guests at The Camps Bay Retreat are treated to a solar heated pool at the Manor House, a cool pool at the Deck House and mountain pool in the gardens. Deck chairs surround the pools, with parasols for shade and beach towels are provided of the poolside.
The mountain pool on the lower reaches of the gardens were created to appear as natural as possible, as though flowing out of the earth. The main pool is the size of a large swimming pool and has flowing water trickling into it, provided by a run off from The Glen Forest.
Located at one of the most beautiful venues in Cape Town, the spa at the Camps Bay Retreat, is surrounded by trees, foliage, bird life and fertile scenery. Offset by the depth of the lush valley beneath it, the spa is perched on a verge, with views that capture the essence of a relaxing wellness experience.
Guests receive complimentary security monitored parking on the premises. Parking is conveniently located close to the Manor House.
There is a wine cellar located at the entrance to the dining room that takes you down to a temperature controlled cellar. Specially selected wine partners feature on the menu, with wine suggestions to compliment cuisine and desserts.

With over 100 movies to choose from on DVD, glorious reads, a classic music selection, cigars and a crackling log fire, you may find yourself making excuses to stay in, every night!
The Camps Bay Retreat has one of the last remaining private tennis courts on the Atlantic Seaboard with great ocean views. There are competition standard flood lights for evening games. Reception will gladly assist with your court bookings and racquets and balls are available at reception.
Hiking and Nature Trails
Hiking trails start from The Glen, just outside the gates of The Camps Bay Retreat. Trails lead through to the forest, for a gentle amble, or for a more strenuous hike on Lion's Head. The famous Lion's Head Hike allows one to hike to the summit with the use of chains. There are breathtaking views over the ocean and the whole of Camps Bay. Enquire at reception about joining the full moon evening hikes and watch the sun set over the ocean, as the moon rises.
