Pringle Bay is a small coastal village about one hour's drive east of Cape Town, far enough from the city to avoid its busy pace yet close enough to make day trips easy.
This house has exceptional views of the beach, Buffels river, and the surrounding mountains; it offers the visitor an opportunity to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that is found in being close to nature. Should you be looking for a more active vacation there are a number of activities in the area; such as shark diving, and Cape Town with its many tourist attractions is only an hour's drive away.

The house has 3 1/2 bedrooms; the main bedroom has a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom and picturesque views of the beach and the surrounding mountains. The two smaller bedrooms each have twin single beds and overlook the deck. There is also an additional small bunk-bed room, suitable for younger children, which leads off the main bedroom. Both bathrooms have a shower, toilet, and basin with a bath tub in the en-suite.
The open plan kitchen has everything you'll need and leads onto a cosy lounge that gets sun all day long. French doors open onto a large deck overlooking the beach, the Buffels river, and the surrounding mountains. A braai/barbecue is available on the deck and secure parking for two cars is available. The beach is a quick 3 minute walk away, and the river is easily accessed via a pier attached to the lower floor of the house. There are a variety of canoes and paddle-skis, which can be used to explore the river.

Canoeing, paddle skiing, swimming, hiking, tourist attractions, historical sites, caged shark diving, whale watching in winter (be sure to catch the annual whale festival in Hermanus), crayfish (lobster) catching in summer, Cape Otter and Fish Eagle watching. The Arabella spa and golf estate is also nearby, and is one of the few six star hotels in the world.
There are a number of restaurants in Pringle Bay (including a pizzeria) which serve great food and are also good value for money; bookings are recommended. A number of other good restaurants can be found in the nearby towns; such as the Whaling Station in Betty's Bay.
