A short cab ride up from Cape Town CBD had us at 15 Welgemeend, a perfectly positioned bed and breakfast on the slopes of Table Mountain.
We were welcomed in by the thoroughly amazing host and hostess and lead towards the gorgeous Victorian house and our choice of stay guestroom; the Alfred Room, a thoughtfully decorated and aptly spacious room.
After settling in and unpacking our luggage we went outside to meet with our hosts and discuss the stay, our host Trevor began to regale us with amazing stories of his life which had us fixed for the hour, it didn't feel like we were staying with the owners of a bed and breakfast, but rather friends or family, quite the perfect start to a miniature vacation.
The morning found us being served a magnificent continental breakfast (of which a lot is actually homemade) in their picturesque and leafy garden which features an oasis-esque refreshing pool with a perfect lovers-bench.
We found the bed and breakfast wonderfully positioned as we were able to venture out into the Cape Town nightlife within minutes of calling a cab.
Overall 15 Welgemeend is a lovely establishment that makes for the perfect miniature getaway!
