Cradled in the arms of Kleinmond’s magnificent mountains is where you will find one of the most relaxing holiday homes in South Africa.
Kleinmond is a little town which lies between the jagged Palmiet mountain range and the Atlantic Ocean. This peaceful coastal town hosts 1600 species of indigenous plants. Although traditionally a retirement village, when holiday season hits, the town becomes ablaze with activity. With its gorgeous beaches, tranquil lagoon, fantastic hikes and walks as well as great restaurants, Kleinmond is a little piece of paradise.
A fully equipped Timber “A” frame home set in the most magnificent semi indigenous 3000 m² garden with braai area and secret pathways leading to cosy hammocks where you can simply float away in a world of nature and total relaxation.
The house has three bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 bathrooms have a shower and one of the showers doubles as
a bath. It sleeps 8 adults and has a fully equipped kitchen, Dining room and lounge with a fireplace, two TV's and 2 DVD players. The lower bedroom has its own entrance with a TV, so that the kids can have their own space while under the same roof.
There are fantastic mountain and sea views from the upstairs rooms. The home is located within walking distance to some of the most magnificent mountain paths and walks. The house is within a 3 minute drive to the beach and Kleinmond's famous Harbour Road with very different and interesting shops.
Other visiting sites are the nearby penguins at Betty’s Bay and the whale watching and markets in Hermanus a close 20 minutes drive away.
Also close is Harold Porter South Africa's National Botanical Gardens. Situated on a magnificent mountain it has 10 hectares of cultivated fynbos garden and a further 190 hectares of natural fynbos. Leopards are rare but have been sighted, as have the nocturnal porcupines and genets, whilst mongooses, otters, dassies and baboons are more frequently seen.
Another wonderful site to visit within an easy 8 minute drive, are the relaxing rock pools at the Palmiet River.
One of the various walks is the Palmet River Trail. This is a wonderful 4 hour walk that follows the beautiful Palmiet River. On this walk there is amazing scenery and floral wonders.
Close to the Kleinmond house is the Kleinmond lagoon that is connected to the sea and is a great place to swim.
Try the luxurious Arabella Spa, just 10 minutes out of Kleinmond where you can enjoy steam baths, massages and all round pampering to revitalise both body and mind. There is also the Arabella Golf Club, one of the most beautiful golf courses in the country.
