Bamboo rock is an unpretentious yet striking and spacious holiday home in the heart of 'the jewel of the Garden Route', as Plettenberg Bay is known. The house is north facing with light, airy rooms; is informally furnished and well equipped to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable.
The accommodation includes 6 spacious bedrooms,
4 en-suite:
main bedroom on the top floor with king size bed, sea views, open-plan bathroom, separate toilet and own balcony.
second bedroom, spacious, with accompanying bathroom, also on the top floor with two single beds.
third and fourth bedrooms on the first floor, share a bathroom with a toilet as well as a separate toilet and each room has two single beds.
fifth bedroom also on the first floor, is en suite & can be considered a second main bedroom as it too has a king size bed
sixth bedroom on the ground floor, has two single beds and is also en-suite.
all en suite bathrooms have a bath and separate shower there is an option to convert two single beds into a king size bed, if needed.

This very popular coastal town is on the Western Cape’s Garden Route – a small strip of unspoilt coastline, home to many species of whale and dolphin – in particular the endangered Southern Right Whale, which comes here to calve in the winter and spring (July – December).

What makes Plettenberg Bay so popular is its sweeping, golden beaches, which stretch for miles, a dramatic rocky peninsula, lagoons and estuaries, indigenous forests, unpolluted rivers and, of course, the Indian Ocean.

Local activities include: boat cruises, canoeing, diving, abseiling, sea kayaking, bungi jumping, black water tubing, horse riding, river ferry, wild water park, mountain biking, hiking, tours and transfers, golf, scenic flights and gliding, polo, township tours etc.
Swim with dolphins – South Africans and visitors alike are delighted by regular, unsolicited visits from dolphins.
Feed the Knysna elephants - only 20 minutes drive outside Plettenberg Bay at the Elephant Park.
