This very popular coastal town is on the Western Capes Garden Route a small strip of unspoilt coastline, home to many species of whale and dolphin in particular the endangered Southern Right Whale, which comes here to calve in the winter and spring (July December).

What makes Plettenberg Bay so popular is its sweeping, golden beaches, which stretch for miles, a dramatic rocky peninsula, lagoons and estuaries, indigenous forests, unpolluted rivers and, of course, the Indian Ocean.
