In 1887, just before the Anglo Boer War, eight Victorian cottages No’s 119 to 126 were built for the British Officers on the road to the camp on Rondebosch Common. Generals Kitchener and Buller are reputed have dined on numerous occasions at 119 Camp Ground Road.
Camp Ground Guest House is conveniently situated within walking distance of Cavendish Square, Kelvin Grove, Newlands Cricket and Rugby Grounds. A 20 minute drive will get you to the Airport, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town International Convention Centre, golf courses, wine farms and magnificent beaches.
