Belvidere Manor Hotel is situated in the exclusive suburb of Belvidere, overlooking Knysna’s tranquil lagoon. Built in 1849, Belvidere House has been delightfully restored and presides over 10 acres of landscaped gardens and 21 cottages, each offering spacious accommodation. With options of one, two or three double bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a fully equipped kitchen, each cottage allows guests a safe and independent stay but with full hotel service.

Enjoy a farmhouse breakfast on the terrace each morning, before exploring the beautiful lagoon. Dine at The Bell Tavern where delicious pub-style meals and other freshly prepared local dishes are served, together with craft beers on tap and a wide selection of wines, beers and spirits.

Our Cottages – 21 in total:

Garden Classic (5 Cottages – Max 6 guests) – Our Garden Classic Cottages are single-storey cottages, privately situated in the gardens with limited lagoon views. Your cottage will have a comfortable lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms with bathrooms (one or both ensuite).

Garden Deluxe (5 Cottages – Max 6 guests) – Our Garden Deluxe Cottages are spacious double-storey cottages, overlooking the lush gardens with limited lagoon views. These cottages are perfect for families needing some extra space and each has a comfortable lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms with bathrooms (one or both ensuite).

Lagoon Classic (6 Cottages – Max 2 guests) – These quaint,  single-storey, one-bedroom cottages offer gorgeous views of the lagoon and swimming pool and are perfect for a romantic weekend away or a little “me time” minibreak. Each cottage has a bedroom, spacious lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.

Lagoon Deluxe (5 Cottages – Max 4 guests) – Our Lagoon Deluxe Cottages offer beautiful views of the lagoon and are a few steps from the manor house and swimming pool. These double suite cottages are decorated for added comfort and have a spacious lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.
